Overview

The MPT2600 wireless video camera is ideal for mobile/wearable applications. It uses TrustLinx™ ultra power efficient wireless transmission technology, which enables compact design, long operating times using miniature batteries, and low heat generation. At the same time, it maintains high RF power output, long-range transmission, high reliability, and an encryption protected air interface. These advanced features enable the end-user or a remote mobile vehicle such as a UAV to capture and report back high-speed, high resolution real time video, audio, and meta data.

Low Power, Wearable Camera

MicroPower Technologies’ patent-pending, energy efficient, TrustLinx™ technology reduces wireless video camera power requirements by 1000x. At less than 15mW power consumption (1 fps VGA @ 5000 ft range), the MPT2600 Mini-i™ wireless camera can continuously operate for up to 8 hours using an internal battery. The Mini-i™ is well suited for wearable and mobile applications with ultra-low power requirements and less than 1W of heat generation. With these types of applications, size is also important. The Mini-i occupies less than 0.67 cubic inches of volume, including the internal battery. Advanced camera features include a high resolution image sensor, a large field of view and selectable video frame rates from 1/20 FPS to 30 FPS.

Easy Mobile Deployment

Up to 16 MPT2600 Mini-i™ cameras can be networked with a MicroPower wireless video hub, such as the MPT2720 MobileHub, to survey an area. The area can be extended infinitely through the deployment of any number of camera/hub cells. The Mini-i™ camera automatically associates itself with the nearest video hub and begins streaming video at the selected rate. The hub controls each camera in the network, decodes the video, stores the images, and transfers the video to a customer’s private LAN or the Internet for remote viewing and storage. The hub also provides analog video in NTSC and PAL format for interfacing with legacy video infrastructures. A complete Mini-i system with video hub can be setup in less than 1 hour and provide immediate video monitoring without cabling.
